Director General – Market Implementation & Regulatory Affairs Department (MIRAD)
Location: IESCO Head Office, Islamabad
Reporting To: CEO / Board of Directors
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the implementation and operational strategy for the Competitive Trading Bilateral Contract Market (CTBCM) in Pakistan.
- Manage bilateral power purchase contracts, market operator settlements, and demand forecasting.
- Serve as the main liaison between IESCO and CTBCM authorities.
- Oversee legal, regulatory, billing, forecasting, and transmission planning activities.
- Lead market compliance efforts in line with national regulations.
- Develop and mentor a high-performing professional team.
- Provide strategic advice to the CEO and Board on all market-related developments.
- Possess in-depth understanding of technical, commercial, and legal dimensions of the power sector.
Required Experience:
- A total of 15 years professional experience with 10 years in senior management roles, ideally with board-level exposure.
- Strong background in power sector reforms, regulatory compliance, and utility business operations.
- Candidates with experience in legal/contractual and commercial affairs in energy markets will be preferred.
- Knowledge of Pakistan
