Position: Technology Consultant

About NEPRA:
The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) seeks a dynamic and experienced professional to lead the development of cutting-edge software solutions for monitoring allowed investments in electric power transmission and distribution companies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and perform the development of advanced software tailored to business needs.
- Collaborate with local and international utilities specializing in IT, OT, and GIS technologies.
- Establish data warehouses and perform data analytics.
- Contribute to or author specifications for technology used in power utilities.
- Ensure cybersecurity risk management in systems development.
- Deep involvement in processes related to the meter-to-cash cycle (both prepaid and post-paid).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering (registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council).
- MBA with electives in Project Management and Project Evaluation.
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum 15 years of core technology experience in the power sector.
- Proven expertise in Information and Operational Technology (IT/OT).
- Extensive experience in software application development, tailored to the power sector’s needs.
- Strong understanding of NEPRA procedures and manuals.
Preferred Skills:
- Comprehensive knowledge of the electric power sector and its technical requirements.
- Cybersecurity expertise with a focus on risk management.
