Career Opportunities at the University of Karachi

1. Director, Quality Enhancement Cell (One Post) – Contractual

  • Eligibility Criteria:
  • First Class Master’s Degree or higher from an HEC recognized institute, with no third division in the entire academic career.
  • Minimum 10 years of administrative experience (preferably in Quality Enhancement Cell).
  • Knowledge of Quality Assurance, Data Processing for SAR, IPE, and Academic Audit, with expertise in Quality Control and Enhancement per HEC guidelines.
  • Proficiency in English and office automation skills. A law degree is highly desirable.

2. Horticulture Officer (One Post) – Contractual

  • Eligibility Criteria:
  • First Class B.S Degree in Horticulture, M.Sc in Botany, or Agriculture with specialization in Plant Taxonomy. A higher degree is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Botanical Gardens. Field knowledge will be an additional qualification.

  4. Maximum age limit for applicants is 43 years, with age relaxation for internal candidates and government employees.
  5. Candidates already employed in government, semi-government, or autonomous organizations must apply through the proper channel.
  6. Only short-listed candidates will be called for a test/interview.
  7. The University reserves the right to withdraw any post or cancel the advertisement at any time.
  8. Only candidates with a Sindh domicile will be considered.
